Despite personal, professional and societal issues, it has been so heart-warming to see so many people and organisations collaborating in various ways…small acts of kindness to health and other workers supporting round-the-clock to mega logistics and infrastructure creation….some at the front end, some from behind the scenes…“When the going gets tough, the tough get going!!”

Before ...

• Our products are a range of sustainable and skincare products, focussed on self-care and wellness. Aimed at replacing chemical-based everyday essentials with 100% natural options, as a way of life, they have been created keeping the health, safety, welfare and sustainable well-being of users of our products. They are inspired by ancient traditions (like Ayurveda and aromatherapy), backed by science, with effectiveness ensured through trial and made with time-tested 100% pure plant-based ingredients, which not only nurture one from outside in, but help to improve the overall well-being of users, over their lifetime. 

• Turmeric, Curcuma longa, India’s ancient secret ingredient, forms the cornerstone of our collection. Turmeric and all its anti-oxidant and active components are known as for prevention and cure of many internal and external issues faced by people, because of its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, antifungal, anti-anxiety, relaxing properties. It has cosmetic and therapeutic properties. Turmeric is India’s answer for building immunity and resilience for health.
• The other key ingredients are time-tested powerhouses of nature, rich in minerals, vitamins and other anti-oxidants with anti-inflammatory and nourishing properties like ginger and cold-pressed oils of coconut, almond, sesame, kokum.
• We have and always will work on sustainability and wellness of employees, partners, society and the environment. We engage micro entrepreneurs and self-help groups as partners, and this we believe, helps build resilience in the community on an ongoing basis

• Our employees worked from home (during the strict lockdown initially) while ensuring that users and customers, especially those in need of essentials (our products are certified as Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicine, because of the health benefits that they have, are serviced to areas accessible within Pune.
• We adhered to the government and local authority guidelines of social distancing, and logistics of the supply chain and delivery to select area pin codes as per local authority guidelines and measures
• Payments to our full-time, part-time and contract labour throughout the lockdown were made. 100% salaries to 100% of the employees with 0% job cuts.

• After initial strict lockdown, manufacturing operations were resumed while maintaining strict norms for the safety and security of the staff and ensuring adequate hygiene measures, as recommended by various health advisories and government guidelines. 
• Deliveries made as per government guidelines for e-commerce and essential products.
• Despite being a new venture, we have been supporting various community service agencies directly and indirectly, publicly and privately, for food and ration supplies and sanitation kits to migrant labour and daily wage earners through the COVID-19 RESPONSE team, the Pune City Connect initiatives with the Municipal Corporation, the “No one shall go hungry” campaign by CYDA across Maharashtra, and also mobilising supplies from small farmers directly to food producers through goodbynature.in. All these helped in the initial relief activities. We also contributed to some national level relief, and recovery work happening across the country through different initiatives carried out by well-meaning individuals and groups.

• We have been even more inspired to continue working dedicatedly to research on and develop more products for stay-on and wash-off personal care products using natural and sustainable ingredients and processes, especially TURMERIC, which is India's answer for building immunity and strength. 
• The Post Covid-19 world will continue to be volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. An event like COVID-19 is a wake-up call for all of us in our personal, professional, societal roles! At PARAMA, it is our endeavour to continue creating sustainable products for the self and environment, to suit simplified lifestyles, to help maintain and augment the immunity and overall health of the users through the therapeutic power of nature and naturals!! 

There’s still a lot left to be done to enable people, organisations, society to become tough, to become anti-fragile! Behind every cloud, there's a silver lining...we have to only look for it!! And people, being people, will bounce back to the new normal and ride the waves of the new world in fun ways ....
